Motherhood is truly beautiful but let’s be honest it is intense, overwhelming and at times even lonely. Have you heard the saying: ‘it takes a village to raise a child’? Well, not everyone has that support (mental and/or the physical) so often with our exhausted minds we turn to the internet, scrolling endlessly through tips and advice, trying to do what’s right for our children but what’s right for my child, my family? For me as a mother? Our conversations change, we talk about our child but rarely about ourselves. About the exhaustion that breaks us, about how we have changed inside and out, how our lives have turned upside down. Perhaps we stay quiet because it seems that other mom’s have figured it all out, or perhaps because we are afraid of being judged?
Elly’s Grand Café, in collaboration with local mommy mentor Claudia Kroon, is hosting a 3-part workshop series. A warm, welcoming space where mothers can come together, share their stories, and support one another. No pressure, no judgment, just honesty, empathy, and connection. Let’s build that ‘village’ together!
The workshops
Make Friday mornings a moment to grab a coffee with a fellow mom-friend and join us for heartfelt, guided conversations in a safe space.
Each week we’ll cover a different topic and we’ll open the floor for you to share your own stories and experiences with other moms.
We’ll explore:
- Week one: Your Vision of Motherhood – What kind of mom do you really want to be? Let’s move beyond guilt and define motherhood on your terms.
- Week two: Hormones & Your Cycle – Understand how your hormonal rhythms affect your mood, energy, and emotional well-being.
- Week three: Self-care – Talk openly about the invisible weight mom’s carry, and how to start sharing it more fairly.
